Cayuga Lake Wine Trail Holiday Shopping Spree
They say multi-tasking usually goes hand in hand with less efficiency, more stress, and many mistakes. But they didn’t say it wasn’t more fun. Multi-task your way to the Finger Lakes this November for the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail’s Holiday Shopping Spree. Taste test delicious wine from America’s first and longest-running wine trail as you cross off your friends’ and family’s holiday wish list. Multi-tasking has never been so productive (or tasted as good!).
One of the most popular attractions in the Finger Lakes region, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail includes breathtaking scenic views of Cayuga Lake and Taughannock Falls that brings thousands of fall visitors and tourists every year.
The Holiday Shopping Spree on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail includes all of the trail’s sixteen members. The closest to Yale Manor are Varick Winery, Knapp, Swedish Hill, and Goose Watch, all within a short 15-minute drive. Friday has only four participating wineries, the closest of which is Montezuma. Its location in Seneca Falls (as well as its famous Cranberry Bog) make it a great spot for a day trip; nationally-recognized museums, the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, and scenic public parks make for a relaxing picnic opportunity and scenic shopping excursion on Friday in Seneca Falls. Montezuma Winery also has a new edition, the Hidden Marsh Distillery featuring vodka made with seasonal fruit that would make a great holiday gift. For more information, visit the winery’s website.
The Holiday Shopping Spree will be held on November 17-19 and December 1-3. Saturday and Sunday includes a full itinerary with all sixteen wineries participating. Visit the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail website for more information, hours, and directions—and don’t forget your Holiday Shopper’s Pass for that extra discount! At your last stop of the event, hand in your ticket for a shot at the Grand Prizes, including Finger Lakes Winery Tours and Deerhead Lakeside Restaurant and Bar. Couple’s tickets are $65.00 and include two souvenir wine glasses, one grapevine wreath, one set of sixteen ornaments (one at each stop), a recipe collection, and a shopper’s card. Tickets are good for one wine and food pairing at each winery and up to three additional tastings per winery. Purchase the designated driver tickets for a nice discount; DD couple’s tickets are $52.50. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800.684.5217.
