Visit the National Women’s Hall of Fame
With renovations already in the works to move the Hall to the 1844 Seneca knitting mill by 2020, the Homecoming Campaign for the National Women’s Hall of Fame is well underway. As a showcase of great women in order to inspire all, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is both a preserver of history and a visionary of the future, impacting women’s lives significantly--past, present, and future.
Discover the inductees of the Hall of Fame and learn their thrilling stories of how they influenced other women and the country. For a complete grid view of the inductees, click here. Notable women include Tony-, Emmy-, and Pulitzer Prize-nominated poet Maya Angelou, First Lady Abigail Adams who urged her husband to permit women to legally own property with the famous slogan “Remember the Ladies,” and one of television’s best loved comedians and reputed Hollywood production pioneer, Lucille Ball; the “I Love Lucy Show,” which premiered in 1951, is still shown on TV in more than 70 countries. There are dozens of other women, both ultra-famous and lesser known, that are waiting for you to discover their stories.
Why not make it a girls’ trip and spend the weekend with the girls at Yale Manor. With a visit to the National Women’s Hall of Fame (and some wineries along the way!) your trip can hold some much-needed R&R as well as pack some serious girl power.
The National Women’s Hall of Fame, including its gallery exhibits and gift shop, are open through November seven days a week 10AM-4PM. Admission is just five dollars. Click here for more information.
