Ride in a Horse-Drawn Sleigh for Valentine’s Day
One of the best attractions in the Finger Lakes explores our distant past and rich heritage on the grounds of the 1816 Federal style home of Gideon Granger, Postmaster General under Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. Besides the house museum, the Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum features 70 historic carriages and knowledgeable docents recount the stories of the four generations of Grangers that inhabited the magnificent house between 1816 and 1930.
Seasonal carriage rides are a fun way to experience Granger Homestead, especially this time of year. On Saturday, February 16th, visit Granger Homestead for a Sweetheart Carriage Ride. This Valentine’s Day treat will be unforgettable as you cozy up with your special someone in a historic horse drawn sleigh. Following the twenty minute ride, visit the Law Office to enjoy hot beverages and goodies.
Tickets for the Sweetheart Carriage Rides are $60.00 per couple and include a twenty minute horse drawn sleigh ride, delicious chocolate candy, a long-stem rose, and a framed 4x6” photo. Click here for more information.
Also, in February is the Loaf and Ladle dining event at Granger Homestead on the 13th. Details and order form coming soon.
