The Seneca Lake Wine Trail, founded in 1986, has become a popular wine and grape-growing destination for visitors from around the world. Their motto: “Grown Here. Made Here.”
They are hosting two events starting with a Pasta and Wine Weekend, March 20-22, where you can explore the unique, delicious pairings of local wines with homemade pasta dishes at 24 participating wineries. Later in the month, you may want to attend Artisan Cheese and Wine, March 28, where you will savor the mouthwatering, intimate wine and cheese pairings at ten wineries, each serving their wines with three to four samples made by local creameries showcasing artisan, family-made, farm-fresh cheeses.
The Cayuga Wine Trail, known as “America’s First”, is located around Cayuga Lake with its secluded waterfalls and lakefront restaurants. They are hosting their 6th Annual Bacon on the Lakein, March 21-22, where fourteen wineries will pair tantalizing bacon-infused dishes complimented by their home-grown and -made wines.
When you return, cap off your relaxing day with a luxurious massage in the privacy of your room in front of your fireplace.
