Enjoy the Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend
It’s a duo synonymous with some of the most famous couples in the world, among the ranks of macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, even spaghetti and meatballs. But I think we can agree; wine and cheese is the best—and best-tasting. There is a science to it, too, and if you’re up for it, Seneca Lake’s Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend is a great opportunity to start researching a new skill and field of knowledge. Who knows? Before you realize it, you will be wine and cheese aficionado. But here’s your starting point, your motivation, the carrot dangling from a stick in front of you.
Thirty-three wineries participate in this event, so purchase your tickets by visiting the website for $40 per person and check in at your chosen starting location. Then the fun begins. Start sampling cheese-themed cuisine that has been expertly paired with some of the regions best wines. Start close to home at Three Brothers Wineries and Estates and then head up to the beautiful Belhurst Castle. The website has a complete list of the participants so pick out which ones are your favorites and plan your weekend out; tickets for the Wine and Cheese Weekend are good for two and a half days so you have the option to take a day trip through the Seneca Lake Wine Trail or visit one for lunchtime every day of the weekend during your stay here. It’s all up to you.
Visit the Seneca Lake Wine Trail’s website for an overview of the area as well as find more information about the Trail’s events.
