Fall Foliage in the Finger Lakes National Forest

New York’s only National Forest calls the Finger Lakes home and provides the region between Cayuga and Seneca Lakes with one of New York’s best fall foliage viewing destinations. Fields of grazing cattle, wild blueberries along the trails, and pond-side vistas make this National Forest a unique New York experience.

Visit Seneca's Most Historic Sites

Visit the Historic Sonnenberg Gardens

Named “Sunny Hill” in German, Sonnenberg Gardens is one of the finest remaining Victorian-era homes in the United States and a New York State Park prominent for its 50-acre, nine-garden estate and Queen Anne-style mansion that has placed it on the US National Register of Historic Places. Its original owners and creators were Frederick Thompson, a New York City banker that started Citibank and Chase, and Mary Lee Clark, the daughter of the New York State governor in 1855 and a Canandaigua native.

Set Sail on True Love in the Finger Lakes, NY

Experience Finger Lakes Wine Country from the water this summer. True Love is not only a sailing schooner, but is also in the annals of Hollywood history, starring in the movie “Philadelphia Story” in 1940 with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. True Love hit the silver screen once again in the 1956 remake, “High Society,” starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong.
