No matter where you find yourself during your adventure in the Finger Lakes with us, you’ll always be close to a waterfall. There are dozens of them scattered throughout the region and some parks, like Watkins Glen, have as many as twenty waterfalls connecting the network of streams, creeks, and rivers that feed the Finger Lakes. Some of our region’s cities have waterfalls downtown, like Rochester’s High Falls section, but most of our breathtaking falls can be found exploring the wooded glens, winding roads, and serene pathways all over the Finger Lakes.

It’s a duo synonymous with some of the most famous couples in the world, among the ranks of macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, even spaghetti and meatballs. But I think we can agree; wine and cheese is the best—and best-tasting. There is a science to it, too, and if you’re up for it, Seneca Lake’s Spring Wine and Cheese Weekend is a great opportunity to start researching a new skill and field of knowledge. Who knows? Before you realize it, you will be wine and cheese aficionado.

In 1848, Seneca Falls became the site of something that would change the course of history and the fate of women around the world. Only a 20-minute drive North from Yale Manor, Seneca Falls is the town that spearheaded the women’s rights movement. It now hosts the National Women’s Rights Museum, displaying the records, artifacts, and compelling stories of the brazen women that chose to demand their place among the people of the world, rather than ask for it.
